Despite the rain, last nights Art Attack, was one of the most energized Art nights in Georgetown to date. Georgetown was bustling with the merger of several noteworthy events taking place.
Fantagraphics celebrated it’s 4 year anniversary with a keg of Manny’s and live music.
Art Jam 5 kicked off at the 9lb Hammer. Masterpieces were created by some of Seattle’s best urban contemporary artists, throughout the night. Artists included Johnny O’brady, John Osgood, Augie Pagan, 179 and many many more. The work was all available for purchase as soon as the wet canvases hit the shuffle board table all for $50 or less.
As always The Stables was a cozy oasis of art and conversation. Alexandra Sandlin displayed several new works and made pizza for visitors. DJ Corporate was at the turn tables. Art walkers ran back and forth to the Georgetown Trailer Park Mall to get refills on hot chilly and converse with the amazingly creative and friendly shop owners ’round the burn barrel.
